The 2026 theme
AIMSCon will examine how ethical practice, equitable systems, and meaningful access to care can bridge the divides experienced by patients and communities around the world. Through student research and clinical dialogue, we will ask how future health professionals can make global medicine more just, inclusive, and responsive.
How we make fair, honest decisions in research and in care, especially when resources are scarce.
Why health outcomes differ between communities, and what students and clinicians can do to narrow the gap.
How people reach the care, medicines and information they need, in Pakistan and around the world.
Why AIMSCon?
AIMSCon is the Allama Iqbal Medical College Students' Conference: a day run by students, for students, that brings together future doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists and allied health professionals from colleges across Pakistan.
It is a chance to step outside the lecture hall. Present your research to peers and faculty, practise skills in hands-on workshops, test yourself in competition, and meet the people you may one day work and publish with.
Student abstracts give early researchers a platform to present their work and get feedback from faculty and peers.
Pre-conference workshops, led by AIMC departments, focus on practical skills you can use on the wards and in research.
The Research Olympiad and the conference day bring together students from different colleges, programmes and years.

Our venue
AIMC opened on 2 May 1975 as Lahore Medical College and was renamed two years later to mark the centenary of Allama Muhammad Iqbal. Since 1990 it has been based at its own campus in Lahore, beside Jinnah Hospital, its 1,100-bed teaching hospital.
Affiliated with the University of Health Sciences, Lahore, the college today teaches medicine, nursing and allied health students, and trains postgraduates across its departments.
Arrival details, rooms and timings will be shared with registered attendees closer to the conference.
